INTRODUCTION
PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Nagrota Surian is one of the most popular School of Distt. Kangra. It is situated 25 km away from Tehsil Head Quarter Jawali. This Institute is Surrounded by thickly populated villages namely Sugnara, Katholi, Katora, Basa, Bajhera etc.
The school comes to the existence in 1952 when “Sanatana Dharma Sabha” started a High School in the area. It was fortunate of the area that large hearted personalities Late. Sh. Rabhu Ram S/o Late Sh. Bahadur Singh Guleria and Smt. Premi Devi W/o Late Sh. Ludhar Singh Guleria R/o Vill. Bassa donated 25 Kanals of land to the school under the motivation of Sh. Vijay Singh Guleria PET Ex Hawaldar. Late in 1962 the school was taken over by the Govt. and was upgraded to Govt. Senior Secondary School by the Gov t. of Himachal Pradesh in 1989. Since then school has created many milestones in the field of education and served the society. Later, Science stream introduced in year and Vocational Education was introduced in 2015-16 in tourism and Agriculture Streams. In session 2024-25, school was upgraded as the “PM SHRI SCHOOL”.
